How to know when you’re ready to scale from one CEU to a full catalog
Published April 9, 2026
There’s a specific moment where one course stops feeling like enough. The question is whether that urge is from real demand or restlessness that makes us start new projects instead of marketing what we have.
How do I know I’m ready?
Three signals: (1) existing course sells consistently, (2) learners are asking for more, (3) your systems run smoothly. If only #3 is true, you’re not ready — you’re just bored.
Best way to grow?
Adjacent topics. If your first CEU was parent training, next might be caregiver communication. Same audience, easy cross-sell.
All at once or over time?
Over time, one at a time. A quarterly cadence gives each course a moment in the spotlight.
When to get a branded CEU store?
When you have 3+ courses and want a professional destination for learners to browse your catalog.
What systems need to be in place?
Automated certificates, centralized records, reliable quiz system, an email list. Fix anything manual before you add more courses.
One course proves the model. Three make it real. Each one has to earn its spot — build the next one because your audience asked, not because it sounds impressive.
About CEU Lab Certs

I built CEU Lab Certs to be the tool I wished existed — BACB-compliant templates, shareable quiz links, automated certificate delivery, and audit-ready records in one place, so you can spend your time teaching instead of doing certificate admin on a Sunday.
