How to offer CEUs at a live ABA conference or multi-session event

Published April 9, 2026

Conferences are where CEU logistics get genuinely complicated. Multiple sessions, multiple instructors, different CEU types, hundreds of attendees, and a narrow window to get quizzes in front of people before they scatter. The system should be exactly the same as your on-demand flow, with a few conference-specific tweaks.

How do I issue CEUs for a multi-session conference?

Each session as its own course with its own quiz link, CEU type, and hour count. Cleaner than bundling multiple sessions into one certificate.

How do I distribute quiz links?

QR code on the last slide, link in the event program. Make it so easy they complete it before the next session starts.

What about attendees who forget the quiz?

Give a window (7 days) to complete using the same link. Communicate clearly at the event and in a follow-up email.

Different CEU types across sessions?

Each session’s setup specifies its own type. Per-session setup = correct certificates automatically.

What about keynotes or panels with no quiz?

You still need an assessment — the BACB requires it regardless of format. Build a short quiz and share the link.

With shareable links and automated certificates, the conference complexity collapses into setup work you do before the event and zero work during or after.

About CEU Lab Certs

I'm an Org ACE Provider who spent years manually creating CEU certificates and stitching together clunky systems that weren't built for the BACB's changing requirements. I built CEU Lab Certs to be the tool I wished existed — BACB-compliant templates, shareable quiz links, automated certificate delivery, and audit-ready records in one place, so you can spend your time teaching instead of doing certificate admin on a Sunday.
