How to embed a CEU quiz on your website for behavior analysts
Published April 6, 2026
If you're an ACE provider, you've probably hit the same wall everyone hits: you have a beautiful course page, but the actual CEU quiz lives somewhere else — Google Forms, a clunky LMS, a PDF you grade by hand. Embedding a real CEU quiz directly on your website is easier than most BCBAs think, and it removes a huge amount of friction for your learners. This guide walks through what "embedding" actually means, what a BACB-compliant embedded quiz needs to do, and how to set one up in a few minutes.
What does it mean to "embed" a CEU quiz on a website?
Embedding a quiz means dropping a small snippet of HTML (usually an <iframe>) into a page on your site so the quiz loads inside that page. Your learner never has to navigate away — they read your course content, scroll down, take the quiz, and get their certificate. From the BACB's perspective, what matters is that the quiz delivers the required assessment, captures the learner's identifying information, and triggers issuance of a compliant certificate. How it gets onto the page is irrelevant.
Do I need a developer to embed a CEU quiz?
No. Modern certificate platforms generate a one-line embed snippet you can paste into any website builder — WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, Kajabi, Teachable, or a plain HTML page. If you can paste a YouTube video into a page, you can paste a quiz embed.
What does a BACB-compliant CEU quiz need to include?
Per BACB ACE provider guidelines, you need at least three assessment questions per CEU hour, an evaluation component, and verification of the learner's identity. The quiz also has to record a pass/fail outcome that you can produce on request during an audit. A good embedded quiz captures all of this automatically, so you're not stitching it together from spreadsheets.
Can the same embedded quiz work for live and on-demand learners?
Yes — and this is one of the biggest reasons providers embed instead of using a separate Google Form per event. A single shareable quiz link (or the same embed) can serve both your live attendees and the people who later watch a recording. Each submission is logged independently, so your audit trail is clean.
What happens after a learner passes an embedded CEU quiz?
On a platform like CEU Lab Certs, the moment a learner passes, a BACB-compliant PDF certificate is generated and emailed to them automatically. You don't touch anything. The submission, the score, the certificate, and the learner's contact info are stored together in your audit log so you have everything you need for a recordkeeping request.
Does an embedded quiz still count toward BACB compliance?
Yes. The BACB cares about the content of the assessment, the evaluation, and your recordkeeping — not whether the quiz lives on your domain or a third-party domain. As long as the platform you use captures the required data and generates compliant certificates, embedding is fully acceptable.
CEU Lab Certs gives every course a shareable link and a copy-paste embed snippet. Drop it onto your website, your course page, or your podcast show notes, and certificates start sending themselves.

Can I use a shareable quiz link for live CEU events instead of paper sign-ins?
Paper sign-in sheets at live CEU events are a compliance nightmare. A shareable quiz link replaces all of it.
