The provider’s guide to issuing both CEUs and PDUs from the same content

One of the most operationally useful things I’ve figured out: you can use the same content for both audiences if you set it up correctly. Content stays the same. Quiz can be the same. Certificates are different — one says CEU, one says PDU.
Can the same training qualify for both?
Yes, when content is relevant to both. The content doesn’t change. The certificate does.
How to issue different certificates?
Two parallel courses: same content and quiz, but one with a CEU template and one with a PDU template. Each learner takes the version matching their credential.
Do quizzes need to be different?
They can be the same if the content is identical. One quiz, two course entries, right certificate template applied.
What labels differ on the certificates?
CEU type (Learning/Ethics/Supervision) and ACE provider number on the CEU version. Clearly labeled as PDU on the other. Don’t mix them up.
Works for external learners too?
Yes. The learner self-selects their version. You don’t maintain two sets of content.
